Ben Phipps Bio

Ben Phipps is a Gold-certified Swedish-born music producer and DJ living and working in Southern California. His original music straddles genres from indie dance to pop and deep house. By focusing on lyrics of substance and blending them with his trademark productions –think bouncing basslines at around 110bpm mixed with smooth melodic vocals and a marimba here and there – Ben created his own unique sound, and the world noticed.

Ben’s hit song ‘I Don’t Think So’ was certified Gold in 2023 by IMPALA after surpassing 50 million streams across all platforms, and his back catalog has accrued well over 100 million streams. Ben has charted on iTunes in more than 30 countries, maintained national US airplay on SiriusXM over a number of years, and enjoyed extensive TV placements. He gained nationwide exposure in a Google commercial and, most recently, his music was featured on Netflix’s ‘You’, ABC’s ‘Cruel Summer’ and Freeform’s ‘Good Trouble’.

Ben is currently signed with Symphonic Distribution in an exclusive, multi-year deal. And in 2024, he’ll be releasing four new singles via Symphonic: ‘Monte Carlo’, ‘Lost Control’, ‘Only You’, and ‘When You Speak’. Each of these tracks features a new, up-and-coming vocal talent – and if you look at his track record of finding new superstar voices, it glows. Ben discovered now Platinum-certified singer-songwriter Ashe back in 2015, featuring her on his tracks ‘Sleep Alone’ and ‘Don’t Look Back’. She has since gone on to work with the likes of Demi Lovato and FINNEAS, the latter with whom she released the wildly successful collaboration ‘Forever Falls Apart’.

As Ben’s become more established in his own career, he’s taken more time to support promising new artists. Together with Neon Owl Company, Ben hosts regular panels and masterclasses for developing talent to get feedback from industry professionals. Having attended music production school himself at Dubspot in New York City, Ben understands the value of access to and mentorship by professional musicians. “It’s a real privilege to be in the position to help people,” he says. “I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my mentors, and I’m honored that it’s come full circle.”
